Infrastructure: Scaling with Rollups, Bridges, and Cross-Chain 

At WakeUp Labs, we are leading innovation in blockchain scalability and interoperability, working across Bitcoin, Optimism, and Arbitrum to deliver innovative solutions.

Key Projects:

• Rollups and Bridges for Bitcoin L2 Development: We’re pushing the boundaries of Bitcoin scalability, collaborating with leading projects like BitcoinOS to experiment with ZK-Proof technology on Bitcoin without forking its code. This allows us to explore advanced solutions for scaling Bitcoin while maintaining its core integrity.

• Superchain for Optimism: Our contribution to the Superchain includes developing Superchain Accounts, native smart accounts that leverage account abstraction. These accounts enable OP chain users to earn Superchain Points through active on-chain participation, fostering a more interactive and rewarding experience within the Optimism ecosystem.

• Decentralized Rollup-as-a-Service (RaaS): We are creating a decentralized Rollup-as-a-Service network, or at least an open-source RaaS as a stepping stone towards full decentralization. Unlike existing RaaS providers that create lock-ins, our decentralized network will standardize the feature set, democratize the provider role, and allow easy switching between providers, making this vision a reality.

• Arbitrum Connect: We’ve developed an interface that empowers users to push transactions through even when the Arbitrum sequencer is offline. This boosts decentralization, giving users more control and ensuring trustless security across Arbitrum’s network. Our Contributions: Front-End Development and Back-End Integration. Improvements to the Off-Chain Labs SDK.

Tooling: Simplifying Developer Interactions

DeFi: Building the Future of Finance with Coinbase, Sovryn and Real-World Assets Projects

Our work in decentralized finance goes beyond traditional DeFi products, focusing on simplifying access and tokenizing real-world assets (RWA) to enable new financial models.

• Coinbase Wallet: We are proud to be part of the development team behind Coinbase Wallet, helping to build a seamless user experience that opens up DeFi to millions of users. Our work ensures that users can securely and easily interact with decentralized exchanges (DEX), on/off ramps, TradFi, and other DeFi tools. From back-end architecture to front-end UX, we are playing a critical role in shaping the Coinbase Wallet’s capabilities, ensuring users have frictionless access to DeFi opportunities.

• DeFi Primitives: We are collaborating with Sovryn to enhance their decentralized finance platform, focusing on lending and borrowing services. Our improvements are designed to increase efficiency, scalability, and security, providing Sovryn users with a streamlined and more intuitive experience. These enhancements aim to drive innovation in DeFi, meeting the needs of a rapidly growing user base while ensuring the platform’s core financial services are more accessible and robust.

• Tokenization of Financial and Real Estate Assets: We’re also leading the way in tokenizing real-world assets, creating innovative financial solutions for sectors like real estate and finance. Our partnerships with clients such as Num Finance showcase how tokenization can provide liquidity and transparency to traditionally opaque markets. 

  
  

Gaming: Pioneering the Next Wave of Immersive Experiences

Our foray into gaming has resulted in transformative projects that leverage blockchain to create more secure and scalable gaming ecosystems. Through collaborations with Mokens League and hackathons like the Worldcoin Trivia Game, we’ve demonstrated how blockchain can enhance player engagement and security.

Key Projects:

• Mokens League: Developed custom NFTs and ERC-20 tokens that power the in-game economy, ensuring secure, scalable gameplay for large user bases.

• Worldcoin Trivia Game: Built during the Aleph Hackathon, this MVP uses decentralized identity (WorldID) to ensure that only real humans can participate, showcasing our rapid prototyping and delivery capabilities.
